The Value of a Good Cover

Okay, since I blogged about L.J. Smith's Vampire Diaries, I thought I'd also point out how great it is to republish good books with better covers. The original wasn't awful, but the reissue is much more likely to attract teens than the dated one:

You know, I think I actually prefer the original Dairy Queen cover. The new one looks so generic. I mean, does it not look like the standard movie poster for some low-budget romance!

I agree with you about the second cover, but I still don't like the original cow cover. It's just so unenticing.
